I was under the impression that we had ascertained that a 'woofter' was the large sound-generating round thing in a lound speaker! My subscription to the Miriam-Webster 'word-of-the-day' just doesn't include such eclectic fare. A thousand apologies - especially to all those who have just found out the true definition of 'woofter' and now feel insulted. Perhaps I am myself a 'woofter.'
