"A woody zone full of brush in the place called Amaru.. A gigantic wood of a
thousand hectares."

I can't find the location even on a high res map. However, the province does
dip down the Rmo Mantaro (Mazo, Villa Azul) where it will touch the ceja de
selva, the "eyebrow" of the jungle, always full of orchids and butterflies.
The are is, however, a coca growing province, so if you plan to visit (1) use
a 4x4, (2) do not expect any significant facilities and above all (3) make
sure that you go with a respected local person, and give them time to
telephone ahead. This person <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> runs a major travel business
who can certainly help you to plan a trip.
