Roy Toknaga at H&R did a lot of work on the genetics of the alba form...What he lectures on is the fact that the gene does not always show up at the same spot in the helix between any two species...Consequently you might well fail to align them to where you would get a successful alba form from the progeny...You might want to talk to him about the work he did etc..I am merely quoting what he lectured on some years ago ....And he makes sense when you look at the spotty results from a lot of such crosses. Bill Bergstrom (As to finding that article on the naming of color clones...Look up in the year end appendix for it in the AOS mag..It should have been in the 80s somewhere...
