I MUST make a present to a friend as he is SO kind in suggestions and help in anything related to orchids. And too many times with plants...
He is very well known in orchid and botanic world and he has a greenhouse.
The MAIN plant he is now looking for is Vanilla imperialis as he had this plant in the old days but he gave it to the botanical gardens as a present.
It might remind him the "good old days"... (hope he's not reading... :-)
Is there anyone (only in Europe due to the well known CITES problem...) who got this plant big enough to sell me a cut to give him as a present?
He is looking for the imperialis NOT planifolia and so please be sure that the plant you might have is that one. I already gave him a Vanilla thought to be imperialis, but he recognised it as planifolia at first sight.
I can deeply assure that the plant will be hosted in a VERY beautiful greenhouse by a famous person in the orchid world. If the person who is going to "cut" wants to know the name I can obviously tell privatly. I am almost sure he is not readind this OGD as he would recognize me straight away...
