I have not seen a spectrum on low E glass, I know it reflects IR and UV, I do not know if any of the visible spectrum gets blocked or reflected. I have not seen any problems with my plants when I have them in the kitchen while in flower. The only light they get then is from a window and patio door with low E glass in both. I have some continuous flowering plants that continue to bloom there.

Dear Colleagues:

For orchids being grown on a windowsill in a home, what is the effect of Low E glass, if any, on the orchids? To clarify, Low E glass refers to a coating that allows a lot of light in the window but restricts the loss of heat from the house.

Thank you for any help or advice you can render.
