In reference to the lady who is crying for help to get off this
chat-list, I myself expresssed that same intention a few weeks ago.
And I would have, but for what is turning out to be a very funny near
daily series of accusations, threats, name-calling, and plain wide open
slander. A new high was reached a couple of days ago when someone
named Kathy wrote "Andy (Easton) is a curmodgeon- Period!!! He
is/you are a prick with ears!". There were actually two parallel tracks in this saga - the Bob Scully versus Peter O'Byrne personal assaults, and a to-do over the judging and the next choice of location for the WOC. For the moment those two paths have gone silent, but a new one has opened up - with one Wolfgang H. Bandisch questioning orchid-knowledge and chat-list usefulness of Viateur. Just to lend spice to this latest volley, Peter O'Byrne has weighed in on the 'discussion'. However,............ is this listing moderated? Isn't there someone whose task is to monitor the contributions, and haul in the reigns of these folks? As it is, several contributors are making complete asses of themselves, plus they are taking up valuable time and space, and they are depriving the rest of us of useful orchid-rearing tips and tricks. I share the opinions of Buzz and "Li'l Frog" , grow up, go off-line, and leave the rest of us talk about orchids. Enough is enough. J. H. Vandermeulen |
