Over 25 years of orchid growing in horse manure I have not seen one failure.
One lady friend of mine thinks that horse manure is too dirty to use for orchid growing. She said that she could grow better ones without horse manure. I am still waiting for her to show me a photo of one of her orchids that beats the orchids grown in horse manure. I don't know what is in that horse manure that is above any other medium. It is not only a medium but a perfect food too. God designed the horse manure as a perfect food and medium and it is not only good for orchids, but for any plant.
