Why are Dresslerias feminine?
I assume you were joking. Many names of orchid genera are feminine. We have Barkeria, Dresslerella, Encyclia, Dracula, Masdevallia, etc. I understand many tree genera are considered feminine, because the ancients thought trees contained female spirits.
