Andy & Guido, the discussion on Taxonomy, could either of you gentlemen ( or anyone else ) please explain to me how some, many or all of the
' rupicolous' laelias have now been classified as' sophronitis'. This has to be some sort of joke.
Surely this is getting into the situation were some of the Australian nat' dends
were changed to 'Dockrillia', fortunately some common sense has appeared >and
they have returned the Dendrobiums.
I, like Andy will be leaving a lot of labels with the names most people know
because, like fashion, it will all come back.
Roy
Roy, as far as I am concerned, that is indeed a joke. You will see that a lot of changes made on
"molecular taxonomy" ONLY are nonsense. But the problem is that the Molecular Taxonomy
freaks such as Chase, etc. get all the research money they want and are supported by Kew ... the
"circles" close.
In Fukuoka in 1994, I warned for this development and by the way, my viewpoint has been repeatedly proven. Of course Chase and his gang don't want to talk about it.
regards
Guido
Prof. Dr. Braem
