Hi there Dan, Here in NZ we have a product we use called Karmex. I think that might be what you are thinking of. I'm not sure if it is available in non-commercial quantities.
Regards, Ross and Susan Tucker Tuckers Orchid Nursery www.tuckersorchidnursery.co.nz Howdy, Folks. I remember a while back that some of the subscribers here wrote of a chemical weed-killer that was reported to do well with potted orchids. I seem to remember that it was popular in Australia, and for some reason, the letter "K" comes to mind, too. Maybe it had a different name in Australia than it does over here in the States. There is an orchidist who has many pots with a lot of invasive oxalis. This gentelman has limited mobility due to replaced joints, and wishes to find a chemical that he can spray that will help him control the invasion in his orchid pots. Here's a quote from him: > In the 80's and 90's Stewart Orchids in California sold Simazine 80WP > and it worked, they do not carry it any more and it may be one of the > chemical that are off the market. That "Simazine" name is not the one that I kind of remember, unless that is the Western Hemisphere's name for the chemical used in Australia. Who can help me out with this? Thanks much!
