Howdy, Nancy.

I bought from Creole Orchids a peloric Phal. equestris v. leucapsis
'Anne' many years ago. It was PRICY--$60. or so even back then.
Bloomed peloric the first few times. However, it started blooming with
all "normal" flowers, and did so until it died of crown rot.
A friend of mine who knew how disappointed I was with the "normal"
flowers, took pity on me, and she gave me a keiki from her peloric
'Anne', which she
had had for years. It bloomed peloric for me for a couple of years, and
then, once again, reverted to "normal". Her mother plant, however,
continued
peloric, and I beleive it is still peloric to this day.
So, all I can conclude is that there is something in my particualr
environment, or in my cultural methods, that makes it revert to normal
flowers.
Hope this info helps!
