As Buzz stated there are many arguments on both sides of this climate
change topic. Many people think that it is a forgone conclusion that
we are in preventable global warming Remember in the 70's when we
were just starting a global cooling cycle? I personally don't know
what the answer is and don't think anyone can prove it one way or
another since climate change happens over thousands (or millions) of
years -- not 5 - 10 years or even 100 years. The earth is just coming
out of an ice age and is about average in temperature and nowhere
close to the maximum when you look at cycles in millions of
years. Unfortunately, we usually only hear one side of the story
since that is popular and a good way to redistribute wealth from the
first world countries to the third world countries. (How many times
have you seen articles about the thickening of the ice in Antarctica
vs loosing ice in the Arctic?) The only thing we really know is that
the earth always changes and is never static although we would like
it to stay the same. Here is an article that was written by 100
scientists giving the "other side of the story"
