Dear friends,

we have a problem here:

1) on one young shoot, there is an elliptic translucent spot, size of a button
( 12 mm x 8 mm).
2) the velamen on the roots is cream-coloured (instead of the usual white),
slightly darker brown on part of some roots (but no sign of dark rot at the
moment).
3) the green top of some root is drying off

The young shoots still look healthy, but the above signs make me think there
is a serious ongoing problem. The plant development seems to have slowed down
(but it could be the winter).

The plant is Brassia verrucosa.

What do you think? Any suggestion?

Best,

Corrado (& Rina)
