Thanks a lot for your reply, Luigi,
I’ll certainly look at the link you sent to see how it all works. I am already using plocal to embed an OrientDB server in my application. By the way, I’d like to thank Orient Technologies for this awesome database system, OrientDB. I am in North America, Canada, and came across this database system some time ago. I just recently got the occasion to integrate it in my research projects and up to now I’m really impressed by the performance and ease of use of OrientDB. I plan to introduce OrientDB in all my research projects at my university and beyond. Thanks again, Jeremie On Wednesday, October 8, 2014 3:12:41 AM UTC-4, Luigi Dell'Aquila wrote: > > Hi Jeremie, > > the in-memory storage is intended to provide memory only, volatile > behavior, so when you shutdown your machine you will lose all your data. > If you need data persistence you have to use a disk based storage (plocal). > If your concern is about having all your database in memory to have very > high performance, you can rely on a plocal (persistent) storage with enough > memory allocated to disk cache to keep in memory all your database (see > http://www.orientechnologies.com/docs/last/orientdb.wiki/Performance-Tuning.html > > ).
