To celebrate the BOS magazine's 200th issue, the BOS had started running a
series of diagrams called "Top 10 favourite models". These were selected by
readers of the magazine (submitted by post). Skillman's jackstone made it on
the list, and was published in issue 204, October 2000.
Originally, the BOS considered reprinting Skillman's diagrams. However, since
these were difficult to follow, David Brill had tried his hand to redraw them.
In my opinion, Brill's diagrams are much clearer and far easier to follow.
Brill also provides diagrams for a variation of his that attempts to solve
some weaknesses of the original design.
Issue 212 is the earliest that I have of BOS. Is David Brill's rendition
available anywhere else? I did look in the member's area of the web page, and
that issue is not available.
