My  aging eyes find white lines  on black background very hard to read
unless the white lines are considerably thicker than they are in many
diagrams. Same goes for white type on black background -- bumping up
the font size doesn't help much.  (Screened lines/background, any color,
are even worse.)

Thanks for asking, Gerardo!  And thank you, Sy, for the tips on
reversing the background/foreground on webpages. The tip, "Mac users:
Command + Option + Control + 8,"  just helped me read a white-on-dark gray
webpage.
