A friend of mine loves origami and is interested in starting to fold. She
has no experience and would prefer to start with a basic book rather than
classes or individual instruction.

I know there are many great books out there designed partly or fully for
beginners, but I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks

'Origami' by Hideaki Sakata is a good one, also Tomoko Fuse's 'Simple
Traditional Origami'. Both can be bought used from Amazon.
