Hello fellow folding enthusiasts!

There’s a common perception that tessellations are particularly difficult to design and that all the easy designs are taken already.
That hasn’t been my experience at all.
You don’t need to go to hard, esoteric territory to find new designs - they’re abundant and freely available to those who look in the right places.

If you've ever wondered how to design new tessellations, I'll be explaining my most recent breakthroughs and giving you the tools to make patterns of your own (and crease patterns with photos for 60+ of mine) at Advanced Twist Techniques on Thursday, October 19th!
It's a pay-what-you-want online course (minimum $15) with access to recordings of past and present live lectures, example patterns, and templates designed to help you see the open areas for new designs at the edge of tessellation knowledge.
This year I'll be explaining how I find new twists, how to design tessellations from the inside out (choose-your-own-adventure style), and how to design tessellations from the outside in to get desired motifs at specific positions.
Tessellation design doesn't have to be any harder than playing with Legos - and Advanced Twist Techniques is where I'll give you the pieces and show you how to put them together.

Happy folding,
