It is a great little, easy box.

I also learned this model probably 20 years ago, I don't remember where or when or from who. I also really liked it, and I know I have some stored away somewhere. I also would love to know whose design it is and if there is a diagram or a video somewhere.

Hello friends, earlier today an origami friend from NYC asked if i remembered a simple triangular box… she didn’t know much else about it. Of course there are many modular triangke boxes (Fuse, Pavarin, etc) but my mind suddenly went to the time when amazing folding friends Arlene & Mark taught us all a simple triangle box from 1pc of paper at OUSA convention one year! I kinda remembered it but not really. So i played around with some paper (the not good stuff!) and finally figured it out but I’m not 100% sure if what i figured out is exactly what they taught then. Anycase, it’s very close i think. But now, i have no idea whose model it is. So i thought I’d ask here as well. The b/w tape is just where i pieced together the paper to a long section for the model.

Here it is…

What do you think of it? I love it.
Do you know whose model this is?

The small version was my trial one made from approx 3” x 7” paper to get the needed three equilateral triangles. The resulting box was about 1” x 1/2” high
