ctrl-c will result in a "clean" shutdown if you're using a 1.3(beta) JVM.
If you're using 1.2 though you're out of luck until the GUI administration
tool is done (which shouldnt be too long).
Is there potential interest in a quick/small console "shutdown" tool,
it wouldnt take all that long to produce so if there's interest for one
then we'll consider it.
