how to deploy an app with only jsp, servlets and beans (not ejb)

Hi,

Can anyone point me to some literature explaining how to deploy an app that
does not contain ejbs?  For example, I'mm looking for a way to deploy a .war
file without having to construct a .ear file.  Any help would be
appreciated!! Thanks!
