http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20759 ORO's Perl should support variable substitution $variable$ Summary: ORO's Perl should support variable substitution $variable$ Product: ORO Version: 2.0.7 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: Other Component: Main AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I suggest to enhance ORO's Perl engine with variable subsitution. All that is required is to have an hashtable in the engine where variables are taken from. This would add a lot of functionality to ORO Perl. Furthermore along those lines, you could integrate ORO's Perl engine withe the Jakarta's XPath engine. This would be optional of course. There are many REGEX engines out there so ORO needs to demark itself from the others by providing special features.
