Summary: ganglia install via opd fails

Initial Comment:
In trying to install oscar 2.3b6 on a fresh-off-the-CD
Redhat 9 installation, I cannot get ganglia to install.
In fact, trying to get ganglia install completely
stops the oscar install itself. I select ganglia in
step 0 to b e ganglia 2.1.1-1 (using the wizard), and
check ganglia in step1. During step 3 I get the error...
Can't exec
"/root/oscar-2.3b6/packages/ganglia/scripts/gmond_add_internal.sh":
No such
file or directory at
/var/lib/oscar/packages/ganglia/scripts/post_server_install
line 30.
gmond_internal.sh failed at
/var/lib/oscar/packages/ganglia/scripts/post_server_install
line 30
Failed running post_server_install for ganglia at
./install_server line 71
--> Step 3: Failed to properly install OSCAR server;
please check the logs

and there is no packages/ganglia directory at all.

I'd have to disagree with that - the installation was done through OPD, and
the error occurred in a oscar install script looking for an oscar specific file. If
we're going to say we have a "downloader which installs third-party
packages," then we don't have a real strong case for claiming it's the fault
of the third-party software. To restate, the problem isn't in the ganglia
install, it's in the OPD attempt to install ganglia.

Ganglia is an unsupported, third-party package. You should
contact the ganglia developers and/or the package
maintainer for support.
