Can somebody tell me (or point me in the right direction) how to collect MAC addresses from the slave nodes in a VMWare OSCAR install? I created two VMWare slave nodes. Do I need to use bootdisks?
That's the simplest way, yes. I've also heard of using an etherboot image from www.rom-o-matic.org to emulate a PXE boot! :) I had tried an etherboot floppy and failed, but I've heard that an etherboot iso image (i.e. boot your vmware from cd image) will work. If I remember correctly, lancePCI was the nic driver to use.
