Jason,

Yes, after working with this further, I believe what you say is
true--that this is not a result of an OSCAR problem as such.
Was finally able to get a floppy disk that worked. I tried
many things, but it looks like prior to generating the OSCAR
boot floppy, the disk has to be formatted on an MSDOS
system (Not XP/2K/NT). In view that the disk generation
routine formats the disk again, don't know if this makes
sense, but it's my take at the moment.
In any case, the working floppy enabled me to set up my 10
compute systems without further ado...

Thanks,

Don Parmentier

This should probably be submitted to the appropriate SIS
people, as this is not OSCAR-specific, and is not maintained
within OSCAR.

I have found this to be true also. When the floppy disk
create is invoked, sometimes it will do nothing at all and other
times it will format the disk, abruptly terminate the verify, and
report success.

The floppys I've made that seemed to run to completion will
not boot ANY of the clients that I'm trying to add to the
cluster. I think a review of the floppy creation procedure may
be in order, here. Suggestions appreciated!
