Hey Ed: When you boot up the nodes, did you see whether the HDs were detected? It seems rather odd that you were able to image, but then could not boot them.
I presume the headnode and the client nodes are all identical? I wonder if it has anything to do with the /etc/modules.conf bug... do you think you can boot the node off knoppix and write back the contents of the file /etc/modules.conf on the HD?
