Jason,
I/we have a draft at an XML conversion tool for the c3.conf file. The plan was to express the c3.conf as c3-conf.xml and then edit that file using XML parsers. The tool that we have currently takes the c3-conf.xml and converts it to a standard flat c3.conf file.
Even if we don't go that route ultimately we should talk before you do lots of work on a c3.conf mgr tool. --tjn

Sure! I recently made an RPM, so a simple package that just makes it available wouldn't be hard. I will make sure to get to work finishing some sort of tool to migrate configuration from c3.conf and/or /etc/hosts. Those would be necessary for people to get immediate use out of openXcat as installed by OSCAR.
When is your next release date? I can try to make it ready for then.

Hey Jason: Can this potentially become an OSCAR package? Thanks, Bernard

If you are interested, I'm available to answer any questions you may have about what it does and what is planned for the future.
