No, Bernard, this is not the MySQL stuff, is another detail referring to package dependency...

So is the Mandrake 'problem' resolved (pending another developer testing)?

Hey David,

you're right (once more). libsmokeqt1 was requiring correctly
libMesaglut3 but perl-Qt-mdk10 wasn't requiring libsmokeqt1 at all...

The funny (or not so funny) thing was that the SPEC file of perl-Qt-mdk10 mentioned that they took out the libsmokeqt1 requirement from this last version:
(...) Remove libsmokeqt require, picked-up by RPM now

But it seems that the "picked-up by RPM" is not working... So I re-add this requirement to the SPEC file, rebuilded the RPM and tested it: is working fine. Perl-Qt's config.xml only contain perl-Qt-mdk10 now.

Thanks for your help,

Fernando

Fernando,

According to the provides and requires, config.xml should

not have to

specify libsmokeqt1 or libMesaglut3. More specifically,

perl-Qt-mdk10

requires libsmokeqt1 and libsmokeqt1 requires libMesaglut3.

By making the change you did, you have likely masked an underlying problem. Fixing the underlying problem is a far better approach.

Would you (or anyone doing Mdk testing) please:

1) Locally back out your config.xml change
2) export DEBUG_UPDATE_RPMS=y
3) run install_cluster under the script(1) command, and send me the resulting typescript file.
