Whoa -- Eastern *Standard* time, or Eastern *Daylight* time? The US/Canadian East coast is on EDT right now, so EST is effectively what time it is in Chicago, for example.


I suspect you mean "at 2pm on the US East/Canaidian Coast". You should probably say "Eastern," if this is the case, and not use "EST" or "EDT".

Since I lived in Indiana for about a decade (where they *always* stay on EST and never change to EDT), I always notice when someone gets this wrong... ;-)
