Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Installation Group: 4.2 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Fernando Laudares Camargos (laudares) Assigned to: Fernando Laudares Camargos (laudares) Summary: No usable concrete DepMan module for Mandriva 10.1 Initial Comment: In the work to suport Mandriva (Mandrake) 10.1, while the selection of packages is done well with the regular modifications in files like ODA's and perl-Tk's scripts/setup, DeepMan failes to install the packages with the following error: -------------------------------- --> Installing ODA RPMs MySQL MySQL-client perl-DBI perl-Mysql perl-Data-ShowTable oda MySQL-common libmysql12 perl-CGI No usable concrete DepMan module was found. at /opt/oscar/lib/OSCAR/Package.pm line 502 ERROR: Prerequisite failure! at ./wizard_prep line 93 Oscar Wizard preparation script failed to complete at ./install_cluster line 215. -------------------------------- If I go on and install the packages manually, the installation proceeds until the next set of packages to install (perl-Tk, for instance), when it aborts with the same error. I could'n identify the error yet, but a tip that coud be important is that the "distro/release identification file" of Mandriva 10.1 seems to be in "/etc/mandrakelinux-release" now, tought the regular file "/etc/mandrake-release" is still there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Fernando Laudares Camargos (laudares) Date: 2005-07-11 13:40 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=931808 What I meant with the last paragraph was that there's one 'rpm' in /tftpboot/rpm that indicates the distro/release: Once it's installed it creates the following files under /etc: -rw-r--r-- 1 0 0 47 oct 6 2004 mandrakelinux-release lrwxrwxrwx 1 0 0 21 jui 4 17:06 mandrake-release -> mandrakelinux-release lrwxrwxrwx 1 0 0 21 jui 4 17:06 redhat-release -> mandrakelinux-release lrwxrwxrwx 1 0 0 21 jui 4 17:06 release -> mandrakelinux-release ------------------------ (which means it creates "mandrakelinux-release" and make three other symbolic links to it: mandrake-release, redhat-release and release). I don't know it this is valuable information or not, just in case... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109368&aid=1236050&group_id=9368 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the 'Do More With Dual!' webinar happening July 14 at 8am PDT/11am EDT.
