Hey Erich:
 
In previous versions of systeminstaller, they have the "distinfo" files which contain the minimum list of RPMs that are necessary to bootstrap the system.  These files are no longer present in systeminstaller-oscar AFAIK.
 
So my question is, how does systeminstaller-oscar bootstrap Red Hat / Fedora / Mandriva now, and how can I adapt it such that it will work with SUSE?
 
I think right now the problem I'm encountering while creating the image for SUSE is because it was not bootstrapped properly.
