Hello, Paul did some testing with the new bootstrapping mechanism and he actually found minor issues with the ODA bootstrapping (i realize now that those problems where bugs due to the merge of branch-5-1 and trunk) and in order to simplify the implementation, i separated ODA from the rest of the OSCAR code (so the code did not change that much, it was more a matter of code refactoring).
Few more details here (let me know if you think something is missing): http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/trac/oscar/wiki/DevODA_Bootstrap The ultimate idea is to be able to do the following: - run "oscar-config --bootstrap" - then be able to run "oscar_wizard install" So you have time and have the motivation to help, feel free to give it a try. I am pretty sure i did forget few points for the bootstrapping therefore all bug reports are more than welcome. I tested the code on Debian based systems only (debian-4-x86_64, ubuntu-7-i386, ubuntu-8-x86_64) and packages for those distros have been uploaded http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos (note that repos for other distros have not been updated).
