Olivier, Yum is not exactly what i call a good software, i also had the problem several times and i really do not know what is the problem. I "fixed" the problem by double-checking the repo configuration (but it seems that you already did that), and then executing every time "yum clean && yum makecache && yum update".
According to the yum man page, update should try to update all isntalled packages if no package is specified.
