Hello,

I'm trying to setup an OSCAR cluster as part of a university project and am having problems network booting the nodes.

The nodes have a Kingston KNE110TX NIC. When booting with the SystemImager disk (created in step 3 of the OSCAR wizard) I get the message that there is no config on the floppy (this was expected) and that DHCP will be used. After a number of DHCPDISCOVER messages I am told that a DHCP server cannot be found and the installation has failed.

The DHCP server is running ok since if I boot the nodes using an etherboot image, they pick up the DHCP server and are assigned their designated IP addresses. After this stage I get the message;

Loading <Server IP>:pxelinux.0

and dots appear evrey so often but there is no network or HDD activity.

Any ideas what I have done wrong, is it a problem with SystemImager? If so could I continue using etherboot?

Cheers for you time and help,

Craig Palmer
