Hi Richard,
Well I think I'm back where I started but I know more now. I used lsmod
on the client and the device driver is eepro100. So I made a etherboot
disk with the command make bin32/eepro100.lzfd0 . When I boot the client
with this disk tftp works, it loads vmlinuz but then fails to configure the
network card and gives the same message as before:-
0 3c515 cards found
cs89x0: no cs8900 or cs8920 detected. Be sure to DISABLE PnP with SETUP
IP-Config:No Network devices available
Partition Check:
hda: hda1 hda2 hda3
Root-NFS:No NFS server available, giving up.
VFS: Unable to mount root fs via NFS, trying floppy.
VFS: insert root floppy and press enter.
As is obvious from my previous emails this is all very new to me. But this
error message seem to imply it is trying to configure the network card with
cs89x0 and not eepro100, is there anyway I can change the vmlinuz to
specify the eepro100 driver should be used, or am I getting the wrong end
of the stick?
Sorry for all the question but I've very keen to get this to work.
Thanks,
Matt
