Thank you all very much for your assistance in the Oscar 1.3 installation
error thread from 7/24. I finally have a mini-OSCAR test cluster up and
running with just 2 compute nodes.

Niggly problems I had on the way:

1. Needed to run ~/oscar-1.3/install_cluster eth0 from a KDE or GNOME
terminal window. The GUI interface didn't boot by itself.

2. Needed to update Red Hat 7.2's version of rpm. Had to use up2date
because rpm couldn't update rpm without resolving dependencies. Free
accounts on the Red Hat Network are blocked because of heavy server use
during many business hours, so that took a while.

3. I couldn't figure out how to assign MACs to oscarnodes in the GUI
interface, so I kept having DHCP troubles. Eventually figured it out
(duh).

Now I have to figure out how I'm going to make it work for me. :)

Thanks much,

Ben
