You should be able to do this, but it may take a little massaging. You
don't specify what you want this other machine to be the server for, is
it PBS or something else? If you're configuring your own tool and the
cluster nodes can see the server, just point them to it and they won't
really know that it happens to be another node.

As far as configuring the second adapter, you can just do that manually
once the machine is built or have a second image for that machine that
has the extra adapter defined in the image's
etc/systemconfig/systemconfig.conf. Check the systemconfigurator man
page for details on that.
