Teresa, We do this using PVM as it is heterogeneous w/r to operating system (environment).
So, you can have some machines run linux and others run windows and they all can participate in computation. Such is the power of PVM - cool... :^) I look forward to your experiences using MPI in a similar manner. stephen.
