Vinod,
The Oscar Distrobution uses a Monolithic Kernel, so no
modules can be loaded (as far as I can tell). The
easiest way to "add" support is to build a node,
compile a new kernel, being sure to include built-in
support for any drivers you need (ethernet, scsi, ide,
and don't forget !!!RAMDisk/initrd too!!!).

Replace the file /tftpboot/kernel with your new kernel
and then try PXE booting.

Best of luck!
Greg
PS - This is what I did for Broadcom tg3.o support
during the initial install.

Subject: [Oscar-users] Problem in using Intel PRO/100
VE Desktop =
adapter

  Hi,
Can somebody help me out on this. I'm new to OSCAR
& Linux

  Problem : I'm using Intel/pro 100+ management adapter
in the master =
and Intel/pro VE desktop adapter on compute nodes(2 in
number), master =
has PIII xeon & intel spa4 serverboard, compute nodes
has onboard P4 =
processor & ASUS board.I'm using RedHat 7.3, During
stage 6 in OSCAR 2.0 =
,i find the boot image from floppy could not identify
the network =
adapter on compute nodes & hence no broadcast of MAC ,
everytime it =
halts at the command prompt "Press any key to activate
the console'. The =
compute nodes ' BIOS & NIC supports PXE and so i tried
that also. in =
this case the system could accept IP from the DHCP IP
from master but =
asit proceeds with the installation, it halts at he
same stage

i suspect if Intel PRO/100 VE NIC is not recognized
by kernel. What =
should i do, somebody pls help

  thanks,
  kovai,
  Newdelhi, India
