Dear all:

I maintain a cluster, which has 16 dual-cpu nodes. Platform is
Redhat7.2(Kernel 2.4.18-smp), and OSCAR1.3. I use all OSCAR default
configuration.
One of my colleague wants to run some program on some slave nodes.
He loged in to the slave node, executed his program at background and then
log out, just let the process running itself. He suppoesed that program
should be running for more than one day and he has tested his program at
other linux box,it always runs fine. However, after serveral hours,he
found the program terminatd without any error report, just like being
killed. And it happened on all slave nodes he used.
I am just wondering if there are some deamons running to kill the user
process, which has run for a long time. Or the masternode will clear the
state of the slave nodes after some time?
Does anybody have some idea about this issue? Please give me some
suggestions and ideas. It's very urgent,my colleague is waiting for the
data for his paper.
   Thanks very much!

Sincerely yours
Weirong
