I'm still getting Kernel panic on my Nodes and would like to try something else. I have tried the following. Maybe i'm doing something wrong.
Since The new versions of oscar will not run on RH 8.0 I have to run RedHat 7.3 on my master node. While installing Oscar on RedHat 7.3 I tried copying the RedHat 8.0 RPMS files into tftpboot/rpm but installation failed. I proceed to copy the RedHat 7.3 RPMS into the tftpboot/rpm folder and now I can proceed with the installation. I tried to create a image with RedHat 8.0 using the following method. I copied RedHat 8.0 RPMS files into tftpboot/rpm8 folder. During step 4 (build OSCAR client image), I selected the OSCAR redhat 8.0 package file list from oscar samples and changed Packages Directory to /tftpboot/rpm8. It fails to create image with a perl error. Am I missing something. If I could build a RedHat 8.0 image, I think I will get around the kernel panic from 7.3.
