Hello,
[Posted on oscar-devel some times ago ...]
here is the log of what I needed to do to have a functionnal Mandrake
9.0 install of OSCAR 2.2b2. I did not test the node yet (building OK),
will test it this afternoon or later on this morning.
Most of the errors occurs because (share/serverlists/Mandrake-9.0-i386.rpmlist)
is not in the distribution. I was a little tired and did not think about
it until very recently...
However, there are some issue with NFS (default option has changed,
maybe we should specify sync or async. Configuration option ?),
some new rpm trouble with perl-CGI (I suspect a naming problem for the
rpm ??).
Maybe Mandrake 9.0 can be supported (at least experimentally) out of the
box with a minimal effort (ie fine tuning of Mandrake-9.0-i386.rpmlist
and some releases notes).
Ben
