One big problem that would be caused by this is that your client image would not have any OSCAR software installed, nor would it be configured to work within the cluster.  Perhaps the SIS folks could shed more light on this process?

When I inserted the disk into the client that created the image everything appeared to run smoothly.  However, upon reboot, I got the
 
GRUB
 
line and the machine hung at that point.  Any insights out there?
