Jeremy is referring to the Oscar 3.0 release which all the developers are working hard on :-)
Cheers,

According to this schedule from the Fedora web site, Yarrow is core 1 is public release. No other releses scheduled until Core 2 which has no dates attached.
Just FYI. Unless you're talking about something else, I assumed you were talking about the test 3 release. No sense in waiting on something thats already out. :)
Fedora Core 1 / Cambridge
* July 21 2003 - Test 1 (originally called Beta 1) release * September 25 2003 - Test 2 release * October 13 2003 - Test 3 release * November 5 2003 - General Availability
===== Original Message From Jeremy Enos <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ===== And we were *just* looking for someone to test out Fedora. ;-) Glad to hear there are experimenters out there... this sounds like the type of problem we may need to encounter ourselves to solve, but someone may have an idea. Someone more knowledgeable than me though. If not, we'll be testing out Fedora after the 3.0 release this month.

I am new to the list, and this is my first attempt to instal Oscar.
Being a bit sadistic and experemental, I decided to try and see if Oscar
would
work with the Fedora "Yarrow" build which I believe is the first alpha
release. Since its still more or less Red Hat 9 (I think), I figured there
were fair odds that the latest Oscar (2.3) would work with Fedora. Anyway,
the ./configure ran without any burps, as did 'make install'. Thinking I
was
on the home stretch I ran the install program, which did ok for quite a
while
until it got to installing ODA. It crashed with a message about not being
able to find oda.pm in @INC (I have the logs but figured I wouldn't
clutter up
people's inboxes with it). It was shortly after it asked me to enter a
password for the database (which seemed to work ok). I tried running the
installer again, running 'scripts/start_over' and trying again, and
rebooting
and starting again but alas the microsoft debug did not work.
I did a default workstation install of the Fedora "Yarrow" build and then after verifying the network settings immediately tried installing oscar.
I am wondering if this is a known problem (from RH9 for instance) or if this is just a sign that I should stick to RH9. I am willing to spend some time trying to resolve this if someone is willing to help me through.
Thanks ahead of time for your help and your patience with my rambling.
