Hi,

There is a Proliant DL360 G3 cluster installed at
http://ae-www.technion.ac.il/
The disk partition file is called sample.disk.cciss and looks like

/dev/cciss/c0d0p1 24 ext2 /boot defaults
/dev/cciss/c0d0p5 128 swap
/dev/cciss/c0d0p6 1000 ext2 / defaults
nfs_oscar:/home - nfs /home rw

and df gives -

Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/cciss/c0d0p6 17336732 2654164 13801904 17% /
/dev/cciss/c0d0p1 27637 10927 15283 42% /boot
nfs_oscar:/home 67996664 48522488 16020056 76% /home

You might want to increase the swap partition to 2GB.

Regards,

ALex

Subject: [Oscar-users] Problems with HPs "Smart" Array

Hi,

I am trying to set up a Cluster of HP Proliant G3 Servers and they have SCSI
controler that cales which goes by the name of Smart Array. And as always
the words inteligent, smart and easy in combination of hard or soft ware
makes me suspicius. Now here is my Problem, the actual device is located
under /dev/cciss/disc0/disk and the partitions under
/dev/cciss/disk0/part{0..n}. Now when I write the file describing the disk
partition I naturaly use /dev/cciss/disk0/part0 for example as deice. Now
when I then try to install the client the system instaler bails out with the
error: can't stat /dev/cciss/disk0/part.
I beleve the error comes from the asumtion that the partition for example in
/dev/hda0 is on the drive located at /dev/hda but this is not the case here.
My Problem I have loked around and not found a clue where to find further
help or documentation. Any Ideas?

Sean Farrell
