Hi Evren:

- with Fedora Core 2, is it a vanilla install or have you run updates on
the installation?  It is recommended that you install OSCAR with a
standard Linux installation (without any updates)

- you mentioned that you did ./configure and make install - just you run
the 'make' step as well?

- Do you have direct console access to the headnode?  It seems that it
is trying to open up a window remotely but failed to:

you need to export your DISPLAY variable to the box that you are logged
into currently (with X Server running) if that is the case.
