Title: Re: [Oscar-users] How to read ip-addresses and hostnames in ODA database ?
Note - 'oscar_server' is one of the default aliases we use for the headnode.  You can set the hostname to whatever you want, but it can still be addressed by your client nodes using the alias 'oscar_server'.

There is an OSCAR Package HOWTO document that talks about how to create an OSCAR Package - it provides useful information for package authors - of course you can also email us at [email protected]:

Hi Nadine,

The server name of oscar cluster is "oscar_server" if you have not
changed the default name.

And the IP address of the server node can be checked on the ODA command
line too.

Please try the following commands on the command line.
1)for the name of the server node,
# oda nodes
It returns all node names and the server name should "oscar_server" if
did not change it.

2)for the ip address of the server node.
# oda node_ips oscar_server
It will return the IP address of the server node.

I hope it helps,

Regards,

DongInn.
