Title: [Oscar-users] cannot open file /etc/fstab (even though it exists ) why so?
Hi:

1) You do not need to worry about these errors, they do not cause any problems

2)

- How many nodes do you have installed?
- Does the ganglia webpage show up properly? (http://localhost/ganglia) - does it show the correct # of hosts/nodes you have in your cluster?
- What is the output of 'telnet localhost 8649 | grep "<HOST" | wc -l' (on the headnode)?
- What is the output of 'gstat' (on the headnoe)?

Thanks,

Bernard

Subject: [Oscar-users] cannot open file /etc/fstab (even though it exists ) why so?

hi all

we have been trying oscar-4.0 on RH-9.we have been facing the following problems.
members pls clarify the following conflicts.

1>Building image step:
warning: raidtools-1.00.3-2.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID db42a60e
awk: cmd. line:2: fatal: cannot open file `/etc/fstab' for reading (No such file or directory)
ls: readlink:: No such file or directory
ls: file: No such file or directory
ls: expected: No such file or directory
awk: cmd. line:2: fatal: cannot open file `/etc/fstab' for reading (No such file or directory)
awk: cmd. line:2: fatal: cannot open file `/etc/fstab' for reading (No such file or directory)
ext2fs_check_if_mount: No such file or directory while determining whether /dev/loop0 is mounted.^M
warning: can't open /etc/fstab: No such file or directory
awk: cmd. line:2: fatal: cannot open file `/etc/fstab' for reading (No such file or directory)
ERROR: Tag "mpi" does not exist

But /etc/fstab file exists with proper permissions.

but we have got the successfully image built pop up window and clients also have succesfully downloaded the image and got installed.

2>In test scripts ganglia and PBS shell test got failed.we have not selected multicast option.is that a reason for ganglia test failure?(From one of the source we have been told that multicast is an issue for ganglia test failure).

thanks in advance.
ullas
