Sorry it too me so long to get to this.

When ever I run any of those commands you asked me to run, it spits out that
error on every single node that it runs it on. "utility.c(859):WARN:53:
cannot close file" with garbage at the end of the line. 

What is utility.c?  What software does that come with?

Can you send the output from the following commands,

    cexec --pipe hostname
    cpush /etc/hosts /tmp/hosts
    crm /tmp/hosts

I've never seen this sort of error output.
