Hi John:

Which Linux distribution are you using?  If that distro's kernel has
support for your gigabit ethernet card, then you don't need to build
another image - have you tried that? (But chances are SIS' boot kernel
does not support your network card, but you should be able to d/l a
newer kernel which supports that...)

Also, OSCAR selects the bootloader from the rpmlist which you have
chosen during the image building step.  You can change from lilo -> grub
by making changes to the rpmlist, or do a chroot into the image and
uninstall lilo, then install grub.
